You may not agree, but I would rather 100 guilty not get caught than for a single innocent person to have to suffer that fate, either at the hands of vigilantes or the state.

So, when do you think his attackers will be found and brought to justice?

I do agree, Mike.

And I think that anyone who entered the poor victim's home with the actual assailant should be charged at least as an accessory (or whatever that type of charge might be in Canada) to the murder.

And, I don't get the second degree murder charge...doesn't going to someone's house and beating them with a baseball bat show enough intent and planning for a first degree charge?
